A component of blueberry and grape (Pterostilbene) has been shown to significantly reduce body fat by increasing fat oxidation in the liver. This recent research published in the Journal of agriculture and food chemistry was conducted on rats fed a high fat diet with 15 or 30mg per kg of body weight, pterostilbene, but shows potential for understanding the mechanism for controlling obesity.
