A recent research article published in PLoS ONE, has demonstrated the protective effects of a diet high in omega 3 on vascular damage. The DHA and EPA up regulate the anti-oxidant response of the endothelial cells, which helps protect the DNA from damage. This study adds to the extensive body of evidence, which highlights the cardiovascular benefits of a diet high in omega 3.
